Dan Jones
Dan Jones has been immersed in motorbike racing since a very young age, thanks to his father, Steven, who was a Formula 400 racer. Jones began riding motorcycles at the age of 7 on a PW50, initially racing with his brothers in a field. This early exposure ignited his passion for the sport, and at the age of 11, he made his first foray into track racing on a Polini mini moto.
In his debut full season, Jones achieved notable success by becoming the junior mini moto champion and finishing as the runner-up in the Mini GP50 class. He then made the transition to the Moriwaki 250 Juniorcup, where he finished 11th overall in his first season, recording a season-best finish of sixth place.
In 2016, Jones stepped up to the Hel Performance Standard Moto3 Cup and showcased his talent by winning the championship with an impressive margin of 166 points. He achieved an outstanding record of 16 race wins and 20 podium finishes out of 22 races, despite being sidelined due to injury in the previous year. This remarkable performance solidified his status as an extraordinary talent in the sport.
Continuing his progression, Jones made his mark in the CEV Repsol and Red Bull Rookies championships in 2017 and 2018. In 2019, he raced in the British Moto3 Championship with Team City Lifting, gaining valuable experience at the national level.
For the 2020 season, Jones joined the PR Racing/Lloyd&Jones family and competed in the British GP2 Championship on an FTR Moto2 machine. He achieved two podium finishes and finished the season in sixth place overall.
In 2021, Jones continued his impressive form with PR iForce Lloyd and Jones, delivering a strong season performance. He finished fourth in the championship standings, secured seven podium finishes, and started from the front row on seven occasions.
